Sri Lanka and Pakistan will face off in the second T20 International at Colombo in what will be the concluding match of the series. So far, the series has been entirely dominated by the visitors Pakistan who have clinched both the One-Day International (ODI) and Test match series’ and will now look to beat Sri Lanka in the 2nd and final T20I to complete a clean sweep. It will be difficult for Sri Lanka to bounce back after being comprehensively beaten by a margin of 29 runs in the first game at Colombo. Pakistan scored 175 in their innings, batting first on back of three scores of 46 from Ahmed Shehzad, Umar Akmal and Shoaib Malik. Malik remained unbeaten at the score. In response, the Sri Lankan batsmen were not the most convincing. Openers Kusal Perera and Tillakaratne Dilshan got out for four and six runs respectively, laying the foundation for an easy Pakistani win. Dhananjaya de Silva showed some stomach for a fight with 31 but it wasn’t enough to inspire a Sri Lankan win. Sohail Tanvir was the pick of the bowlers for Pakistan taking three wickets for 29 runs.
