Sri Lanka and West Indies face off on the opening day of the first Test at the Galle International Stadium in Galle on Wednesday. Angelo Mathews and Jason Holder, captain of Sri Lanka and West Indies respectively, have the responsibility of steering their side out of a woeful form in the year so far, which saw both teams incur losses both on home as well as on foreign soil. Sri Lanka are currently the more fancied side due to the depth in their batting lineup, as well as the presence of spinners such as Rangana Herath and Tharindu Kaushal among their ranks. That however, cannot allow them to take the West Indians lightly, for the latter have been known to spring a surprise or two every now and then.
