Sri Lanka are in an excellent position as an unbeaten century from Dimuth Karunaratne and his stand with Dinesh Chandimal has taken them to 250 for 5 on Day One of the first Test against West Indies at Galle. The pair got together when Sri Lanka were 101 for 2 after Lahiry Thirimanne was dismissed for just 16 by leg-spinner Devendra Bishoo. Bishoo along with Kemar Roach, who got the wicket of Kaushal Silva for 17, are the two wicket-takers for the West Indies. Sri Lanka will want to extend their lead beyond 500 to put them in a commanding position in the match. West Indies, on the other hand, will want to pick u a couple of quick wickets early on Day Two to reduce the hosts’ run-flow.
