Tharanga completed his half-century and remained unbeaten till the end of first session with Karunaratne but Zimbabwe showed great mettle, making a strong comeback with frequent wickets in the following sessions. A good finish to the day for Zimbabwe and they have ensured that they hold the upper hand going into Day 3. Just like the opening day of the Test, the visitors were once again below par in the first session but then came back to control the proceedings. They bowled tight lines and lengths and kept chipping away at the wickets. Cremer was the pick of the bowlers. He bowled a lot of overs and finished with a 3-fer.
