Despite India and Sri Lanka playing each other for major parts of the year, it does not seem that they get tired of each other. Virat Kohli took a break from the ongoing tri-series, Nidahas Trophy 2018 and in the regular captain’s absence, Rohit Sharma has led India to the final berth. However, there is no escaping Sri Lanka for India’s regular captain.
The Sri Lanka sports minister understands Kohli’s physical stress and wants the Indian captain and his wife, Anushka Sharma to holiday in the picturesque island country.
“I am not inviting Kohli to play here, but I want him to spend a few days with his wife Anushka Sharma. After marriage, he has not visited this country. The couple can be this nation’s guest. There are several good places to see here,” the country’s minister Dayasiri Jayasekara told mid-day.

After tying knots in Italy, Anushka and Kohli travelled together to South Africa where the latter was leading India in a full tour.

Kohli was rested for the Sri Lanka tri-series and he was recently quoted as saying, “Physically I had a few niggles, I am just getting over those. The workload has started to disagree (taking a toll) with me a little bit. I have to be very careful about how I go forward with my body, my mind, my cricket.”
Kohli is preparing for the IPL where he would be leading Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). It is not clear if Virushka will be holidaying in Sri Lanka soon but Kohli will definitely want his boys to return from the neighbouring island with the Nidahas Trophy.
