Steven Smith scores maiden Test double ton in 2nd Ashes Test against England at Lord's

Steven Smith brought up his maiden Test double ton on second day of the second Test between England and Australia at Lord’s, London. He had score of 199 before and will be relieved to have finally got to the landmark of getting to a Test double ton. He and Chris Rogers shared a 284-run stand after losing David Warner early to put Australia on top of England. Earlier in the day, England picked up a couple of wickets in the first session. Australia were 337 for one at end of play on the first day but Chris Rogers departed for a score of 173 when he inside edged a full ball from Stuart Broad. Mark Wood then continued his impressive work when he snared Michael Clarke caught at square leg by Gary Ballance.
