Sunil Narine reported for suspect bowling action against Sri Lanka in 3rd ODI

West Indies' key bowler and spinner Sunil Narine has again come out to be in the center of controversy as he has been once again reported for a suspect bowling action.

West Indies‘ key bowler and spinner Sunil Narine has again come out to be in the center of controversy as he has been once again reported for a suspect bowling action during the third One-Day International (ODI) against hosts Sri Lanka at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium on Saturday, that was won by Sri Lanka by 19 runs. The match officials raised concern regarding the legalities of few of his deliveries and submitted their report the managesemnt of the West Indies cricket team following the end of the match. Earlier, Narine was included in the One-Day International (ODI) squad in the ongoing tour of Sri Lanka. Narine, who last played during the home series against Bangladesh in August last year, had opted out of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 due to issues with his action, which was reported as ‘suspect’ by the International Cricket Council (ICC).

Also, CMC had previous reported that Narine could soon be available again for the West Indies in the longest version of cricket but first wants to continue fine-turning his action. West Indies head coach Phil Simmons said he had spoken during the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) to the 27-year-old who indicated he would make himself available only for the limited-overs versions at this stage.
