Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) off-spinner Sunil Narine has been reported for suspect bowling action during the course of the match between KKR and the Dolphins in the ongoing Champions League Twenty20 (CLT20). Narine was reported for the same the on-field umpires Anil Chaudhary, Chettithody Shamshuddin and third-umpire Kumar Dharmasena.

The report submitted by the umpires specifically pointed to the quicker ball bowled by the West Indian bowler, according to a media release on CLT20’s official website. Narine is currently under the warning list and will be allowed to bowl in the further stages of the tournament.

Narine became the fourth bowler in the ongoing tournament after Lahore Lions players Mohammad Hafeez, Adnan Rasool and Dolphins bowler Prenelan Subrayen. They all have been meted out similar treatments and were similarly placed in the warning list.

Sunil Narine is currently the most prolific bowler in the CLT20 so far, leading the wicket-taker’s list with 11 scalps from four matches, conceding 82 runs and playing a crucial part in KKR’s victories in every match that they have played in this tournament, including . The Knight Riders registered their fourth consecutive win of the tournament and their 13th overall after a 36-run victory against the Dolphins at Hyderabad.
