Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) registered a 8-wicket win over Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) final and in the process secured their maiden title. Many have taken to Twitter to shower praise on the entire team. It was a wonderful team effort by the entire team in the final, right from David Warner to Mustafizur Rahman and SRH cruised to a win in the end. Warner top-scored in the final, but it was the finishing touches from Ben Cutting and Yuvraj Singh that gave SRH a match-winning total in the end. RCB too got off to a good start, but some excellent bowling brought them back into the game and eventually clinched the game. At the end of 60 matches, we finally have a winner and it is the team from Hyderabad once again. The Hyderabad franchise had won the 2009 edition held in South Africa against the same opposition. Virat Kohli ended up being the leading run-getter in the tournament and has scored four centuries in the tournament, which is the most in a single edition. Warner on the other hand scored nine fifties and has been one of SRH’s mainstay in the entire tournament. Bhuvneshwar Kumar took home the purple cap for his incredible show with the ball. In the big final, it was SRH, who had won the toss and elected to bat first, knowing well that RCB have an excellent record when it comes to chasing. It is a gamble that paid off and SRH eventually emerged victorious.
