Suresh Raina says cricket is all about expressing yourself
Asserting that captaincy of a new franchise is not new for him, he said he has led Uttar Pradesh and the Indian team, and is now ready to lead IPL side Gujarat Lions.

Mohali: Cricket is all about enjoying and expressing yourself, Gujarat Lions skipper Suresh Raina said here today. “Enjoy your cricket whether playing for team India or IPL you need to have fun. Cricket is “all about enjoying and expressing yourself,” Raina said ahead of their clash with Kings XI Punjab tomorrow. Asserting that captaincy of a new franchise is not new for him, he said he has led Uttar Pradesh and the Indian team. He was averse to the thought that he had got new players with him. “We have got few guys who can surprise any team,” he said. For Raina cricket is a “team game”. He said his team is a balanced side. To win matches his mantra is “to be positive in all departments of the game.” Talking about his team he said all players have done well in domestic circuit . Besides, he said his team has a good opening pair and strong middle order.
They endured a disastrous run the last time around to finish at the bottom of the heap and Kings XI Punjab would be aiming to make amends this season when they begin their campaign against newbies Gujarat Lions in their IPL opener here Monday. Kings XI Punjab did not make any big buys this year and have a new captain in South African David Miller in place of Australian George Bailey who was released after leading the side to the last place in the previous season. Virender Sehwag has also retired and he will only be the team mentor this season.
