Gujarat Lions (GL) skipper Suresh Raina scored his 6,000 runs in Twenty20 (T20) cricket, during Match 15 of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2016, against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot on Thursday. HE brough his runs in a good fashion, as he hit a beautiful boundary off Bhuvneshwar Kumar, just following the dismissal of their star opener Aaron Finch, who was bowled for an unfortunate duck by the same man in the opening over. Currently, GL are five for the loss of a wicket in one over, with opener Brendon McCullum on zero and Suresh Raina on five. Earlier, SRH skipper David Warner won the toss and elected to bowl first, as he made a change in the form of Aditya Tare, coming in for Ashish Reddy, while GL skipper Suresh Raina made a change too, in the form of fast bowler Dale Steyn coming in for all-rounder James Faulkner. Having won all matches so far in the ninth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Gujarat Lions (GL) will aim to maintain their winning momentum in the clash against an inconsistent Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). This will be the 15th match of what is turning out to be a very tedious tournament, in which the quality of cricket has been ordinary, and has failed to generate the buzz one usually associates with IPL.
