Dashing India batsman Suresh Raina is set to become a father soon. Raina said “I’m really blessed as I’m going to be a father soon,” as quoted by Pune Times. The Uttar Pradesh cricketer married Priyanka Chaudhary in Delhi on April 3 2015 and gave the good news just before leaving to play in the IPL. Raina and his wife are expecting their first child in the month of May this year.He had gone to Netherlands a few days back to meet his pregnant wife as she is living there. Raina said – “The baby is due next month. In fact, I have just returned from Holland. My mother is already there with her, so she is being taken care of. “I have already redone the homes at Holland and Delhi. Right from baby clothes to cots, prams, posters and wallpapers, I have done up both the homes in such a way that Priyanka and the baby will be completely at ease. After the delivery, both of them will travel to India and my whole effort is to ensure their comfort,” said an excited Raina.
Meanwhile, Suresh Raina will be captaining the Gujarat Lions team, which is one of the two entrants in this year’s IPL Season. The team contains players like Dwayne Bravo, James Faulkner, Aaron Finch, Brendon McCullum, Dale Steyn and Ravindra Jadeja. The team will play their first match of the IPL Season 9 against Kings XI Punjab on April 11.
