Suresh Raina, Sanju Samson and the pair of Sreenath Aravind and Kuldeep Yadav shone as India A put in a complete performance to beat Bangladesh A by 75 runs (By Duckworth-Lewis method) in the third and final one-dayer of the series at Bengaluru to win the series 2-1. India A first outplayed the visitors with the bat by putting up a total of 297 for 6 in 50 overs and then the India A bowlers stepped up the plate. Bangladesh A were rocked early by Sreenath Aravind who celebrated his maiden call up for the Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) against South Africa by taking a couple of wickets to reduce the visitors to 24 for 3 after Dhawal Kulkarni struck with the first ball of his spell to get rid of Soumya Sarkar. It was then the turn of Kuldeep Yadav as Bangladesh A were forcing a comeback with Mominul Haque with Liton Das. Kuldeep though playing his first game got rid of both the players to have the visitors struggling at 79 for the loss of five wickets at the end of 20 overs. Nasir Hossain threatened to get going but Karn Sharma got rid of him for 22. Rain delayed the proceedings and with no play possible, India won the game by 75 runs by D/L method
Earlier, India posted a par total on board, thanks to Sanju Samson and Suresh Raina. Mayank Agarwal departed early but skipper Unmukt Chand led the way for India along with Sanju Samson. It was Samson who was the aggressor at the start of the innings while Chand was content on playing himself in. But just when Chand was to get going, he was dismissed for 41. Samson however carried on to register his fifty having being promoted to No. 3 in the batting line-up.
With Raina at the other end, Samson was happy to let Raina do the scoring. Nearing his ton, Samson was out for 90 by a peach of a yorker by Al-Amin Hossain. Raina then took up the mantle as India did suffer a mini collapse of sorts. Rishi Dhawan though hit a few blows as Raina got to his seventh List A century to ensure India posted a strong total on board. India A went into the game against Bangladesh A in the third one-dayer at Bengaluru. Kuldeep Yadav, Kedar Jadhav and Dhawal Kulkarni were drafted into the team in place of Karun Nair, Rush Kalaria and Manish Pandey.
