India’s T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav posted an Instagram story saying ‘educate your son’ which has gone viral on social media, as many protests are going in the whole nation. Though this is a highly alarming case of mishap, not many sportsperson have gone in support of the ongoing protest and Surya is just the second cricketer after Harbhajan Singh to have spoken up about the incident.
This incident is about last week, where the postgraduate trainee doctor was raped and murdered while she was on duty at the RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata.
When a demonstration was happening against this horrific mishap during the Independence Day, a mob came and destroyed parts of the Hospital.
“Educate your son and your brothers and your father and your husband and your friends,” the Instagram story read.
Students of different Medical colleges took out procession in Kolkata on Sunday, August 18, seeking justice for the doctor who was killed.
Holding posters, the students raised slogans seeking punishment to the culprits of the crime that happened.
