RECORD: Andhra hammer Nagaland by 179 runs for biggest T20 win ever

Nagaland were bowled out for 65 in 13.1 overs after Ricky Bhui got Andhra to 244/4.

Day two of the 2019 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy has witnessed a world record broken, with Andhra beating Nagaland by the whopping margin of 179 runs in Mulapadu.

Having racked up 244/4 with Ricky Bhui getting a 38-ball century, Andhra rolled over Nagaland for 65 in 13.1 overs.

This makes it the biggest win in T20 cricket, surpassing Sri Lanka’s 172-run win over Kenya during the inaugural ICC World T20 in 2007.

In the first edition of the Afghanistan Premier League T20 in October 2018, Balkh Legends beat Nangahar Leopards by 171 runs.

Nagaland, playing the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy for the first time, got nearly half of their runs from skipper Rongsen Jonathan who made 30 from No 3.

KV Sasikanth, SK Ismail and one-time India wristspinner Karn Sharma claimed three wickets each.
