Trinidad and Tobago all-rounder Jason Mohammed said that the possibility of earning IPL contracts will spur his teammates to give their best in their next two matches of the Champions League T20 tournament.
“We are here to win our next two matches and no doubt about it. As for the motivation, we obviously have to do well because there is a lot ahead and we could earn a IPL contract.
(Skipper) Darren (Ganga) has a lot of experience, he’s played in Chennai before,” Mohammed said on the eve of their match against the defending champions.
Asked whether he was under utilised as a bowler and if he would be used higher up in the batting order, Jason said, “We have a settled batting order and my role is to try and get boundaries for the team. Bowling is a decision of the captain and definitely if I have a chance to bowl, I’ll make the best use of it.”
To a question whether they will be extra aggressive towards Dwayne Bravo, like they were against former T&T player Kieron Pollard who now plays for Mumbai Indians, Mohammed replied in positive.

“Yeah, definitely, because Pollard and Bravo are very good players. Dwayne was the important player for Chennai the other night (against Cobras). (There will be aggression) not just for Dwayne, but every player who steps out. But there will be a bit more for Dwayne, as he is our home boy.” (PTI)
