West Indies batsman Andre Fletcher struck a belligerent fifty off balls to get his team off to a great start. West Indies chasing Sri Lanka’s target of 123 in Match No 21 of the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup 2016 at M.Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru has got off to a flier. Fletcher, who came in to open to the bat instead of Chris Gayle, looked dangerous from the get go. Fletcher took apart Rangana Herath picking up 22 runs off the 18 balls he faced. West Indies are currently placed at 72 for 3 with Fletcher and Andre Russell 53 and 0 batting on respectively. Vandersay got the first wicket of Johnson Charles tried to guide it to third man but chops it on instead for 10 runs. Marlon Samuels wanted to stamp his authority, stepped down but did not get to the pitch of the ball, only ended up missing the ball with the keeper collecting with Milinda Siriwardana picking his first. Siriwardana was at it again picking up Denesh Ramdin for 5 runs.

Sri Lanka after an horrendous start to their innings managed to get to 122 for 9 in their 20 overs. Badree spun Chamara Kapugedera, Lahiru Thirimanne and Milinda Siriwardana out of their misery to attain figures of 3 for 12. It was only Lankan skipper Angelo  Mathews and Thisara Perera, who managed to weather the storm having a partnership of 44 runs from 7.2 overs. Perera was out for 40 runs at the end.
