Karachi: Pakistan bowling coach Azhar Mahmood has called on the his side to draw inspiration from the women’s side who displayed a spirited performance during the recently-concluded World Twenty20. The women’s team produced impressive performance throughout the tournament as they defeated hosts India and Bangladesh in the group stage matches. However, they couldn’t secure a berth in the semifinals after losing to an experienced English side. Meanwhile, the Shahid Afridi-led side appeared jaded and suffered three successive defeats against India, Australia and New Zealand to crash out of the tournament. Former all-rounder Mahmood said that the Pakistan women’s team were an example to the men’s team at the World Twenty20 as they had played with passion and pride, the Dawn reported.
