West Indies, along with New Zealand from Group 2, are unbeaten in this year’s T20 World Cup. They started of their campaign by chasing down 183 against England, thanks to an unbeaten century by Chris Gayle. In their second game, they comfortably chased down the target of 123 against Sri Lanka. In their third fixture, they huffed and puffed before chasing down 123 against South Africa.

Afghanistan on the other hand qualified for Super-10 after winning each of their three matches in the qualifying group. Their first match in Super-10 saw them fight till the very end, before Sri Lanka chased down their total of 154 with 7 balls to spare. Their next encounter against South Africa saw them chasing a mammoth 210. They fought valiantly before losing by 37 runs. Against England, they produced a brilliant bowling display by restricting the English batsmen to 142 in their 20 overs. But the lack of experience was clear with Afghanistan’s batting, as they failed to chase down the total.
