A match between India and Pakistan is usually a great event for cricket fans all around the world, and given that neither team plays any bilateral series owing to political sensitivities, the meetings are rare and far between. The only time traditional rivals meet is during international competitions, and the excitement around these games is nearly non-existent. The T20 World Cup 2024 match in New York on June 9 is no exception, and according to media sources, resale prices have already skyrocketed.
The official match ticket price was $6 (Rs 497), with the most expensive premium seat ticket for the India versus Pakistan match being $400 (Rs 33148) without taxes.
However, prices on services such as StubHub and SeatGeek are significantly higher. The tickets, which were originally priced at $400, are now available on resale platforms for $40,000 (about Rs 33 lakh), with platform costs adding up to $50,000 (roughly Rs 41 lakh).

According to USA Today, the average Super Bowl 58 ticket sold for $9000 on the secondary market, while courtside seats for the NBA playoffs cost as much as $24,000.
Prices on SeatGeek have skyrocketed, with the most expensive ticket for the India versus Pakistan match in the T20 World Cup 2024 offered for $175,000 (about Rs 1.4 crore). When you add in platform costs and extra fees, the total comes to about Rs 1.86 crore.
