Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) Chinaman bowler Tabraiz Shamsi and Rising Pune Supergiants (RPS) leg-spinner Adam Zampa had a go at each other on Twitter following Shamsi’s ‘Bus driver’ celebrations after taking the wicket of David Warner when RCB took on Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in their Indian Premier League (IPL) match earlier in the tournament. Warner had scored an excellent 92 off 50 balls with 9 fours and 5 sixes before hitting one from Shamsi to AB de Villiers. Kane Williamson had scored 50 off 38 balls with 7 fours, while Moises Henriques chipped in with an unbeaten 31 runs off 14 balls with 1 four and 3 sixes. SRH ended up scoring 194 for 5 in 20 overs. In response Virat Kohli suffered a rare failure and was dismissed for a 17-ball 14. KL Rahul made 51 from 28 balls with 6 fours and 1 six, while de Villiers made 47 runs from 32 deliveries with 3 fours and 2 sixes. Sachin Baby made 27 and Kedar Jadhav scored an unbeaten 25, but it was not enough for RCB to beat SRH as RCB were restricted to 179 for 6 in their 20 overs. It was after Shamsi took the wicket of Warner that he did his Bus Driver celebration, and was also joined by RCB skipper Kohli. At the time Zampa had tweeted: “Shamsi’s wicket celebrations are no good.”

It seemed Shamsi noticed it much later, but he responded by writing on Twitter: “Pretty disappointed 2 see someone who doesn’t even know me at all n wasnt even involved in that game making comments about me…and I think Adam Zampa shud focus a little bit more on himself and ALOT LESS on me and my celebrations #StartThatBus”

Later even Australian coach Darren Lehmann weighed in by tweeting: “Just watch the shamsi carry-on. Concentrate on bowling mate. Win games and then everyone will respect you #RCBvSRH #warner 92 and win?”

Warner himself had spoken out about the celebration after the match. When he was asked about the celebration Warner said, “I was looking at Virat Kohli and I don’t think he was too impressed until he [Shamsi] got a bit closer. I think it’s a bit hard for a captain to stand there and not go (through) the motions. In my team, if someone does that at 150 off 15 overs, I wouldn’t accept that at all. I think it’s a bit fancy to be honest.”
