This was memorable session for South Africa as Temba Bavuma and Chris Morris both achieved their respective Test milestones. But the man of the session was clearly Bavuma who cracked his first ever Test ton from 141 balls hit 16 smashing knocks past the boundary. Bavuma was the first black person to score a century for South Africa in Skipper Hashim Amla immediately called in a declaration after an over after Bavuma’s hundred with England still leading by just 2 runs. Morris managed to get to his first ever 69 from 111 balls, which included 10 fours. Morris and Bavuma had a 167 run stand for seventh, batting a total of 39.5 overs together. Temba Bavuma and Chris Morris did managed to give a good fight after a downpour of early wickets in the post lunch session, contributing 76 runs, with Bevuma getting on to his half century hitting 11 blistering pulls, drives and cuts towards the fence. James Anderson was quick to pick Faf du Plessis who missed out on a well deserved century by 14 runs. Morning session belonged to South Africa as they blocked and scored runs a very slow pace continued.
