Ten Sports awarded rights for 2017 India tour of Sri Lanka

The Dubai based Taj Television’s Ten Sports has been awarded the TV broadcast rights for India‘s 2017 tour of Sri Lanka.
Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) sources said that the contract was awarded for USD 25.5 million.
The tour will have two Tests, five ODIs and three T20 Internationals.
The Indian tour deal was approved by the new executive committee of SLC which took office after elections held last month.
The new executive committee has also approved central contracts for Sri Lanka’s women cricketers for the first time in its history.
Some 35 women players, 16 of them under a development squad, have been categorised for contracts.

The category A includes players such as the captain Shashikala Siriwardena and four other seniors who were part of the side which played in the World Cup held in India.
