SURYAKUMAR YADAV opened up on his 83 runs match-winning knock against West Indies in the third T20I which was played at Providence Stadium in Georgetown, Guyana on Tuesday.

India won the must-win 3rd T20I against the hosts by seven wickets. The star batter revealed that he fooled himself and started hitting from the first ball.

Tilak Varma revealed that Suryakumar Yadav was wearing a wrist band which says that the batter will take time in powerplay and then start scoring freely.

“Surya had in his wish bank that he wanted to take time in Powerplay and then start scoring freely, but he started smashing from ball 1” said Tilak Varma.

“It’s good to bluff yourself sometimes, I fooled myself today and started hitting from ball 1” said Suryakumar Yadav in a video shared by BCCI.

Suryakumar Yadav also hailed Tilak Varma who made his India debut in this T20I series saying that his maturity on the international cricket stage in his debut series is amazing.

“Tilak Varma is a star player. To show such maturity in international cricket stage in his debut series is amazing. Credit goes to him and his hard work and dedication” Suryakumar Yadav added.

Hardik Pandya Hails Suryakumar Yadav

India stand-in captain Hardik Pandya lavished praise on Suryakumar Yadav after India beat West Indies by seven wickets in the 3rd T20I.

Pandya said that it’s good to have someone like Suryakumar in the team he takes responsibility it sends a message to the others

“As Surya mentioned, they (SKY and Tilak) play together and spend time together, good to have someone like SKY in the team and when he takes responsibility it sends a message to the others” said Pandya in Post match conference.
