STAR young batter Tilak Varma, who gained fame over his outing in the last two editions of the Indian Premier League with Rohit Sharma-led Mumbai Indians is currently preparing for the T20I series against West Indies.
Ahead of his possible debut in the Indian jersey, Tilak’s father revealed a story about Rohit Sharma and his wife’s visit to their house and how the generosity of Ritika Sajdeh won their hearts.
“Rohit Sharma and Ritika visited our house earlier. Ritika was sitting on the floor. I asked her to sit on the bench, but she said if I sit on the bench, it’ll be your house. If I sit on the floor, it’ll be our house. They both were very kind,” said Tilak Varma’s father.
Team India is currently taking on the Windies in a two-match Test series. India is leading 1-0 and will be looking forward to earning a clean sweep victory over the hosts in the longest format of the game.
Tilak Varma who earned his maiden India call-up for the five-match T20I series that starts on 3 August following the conclusion of the ODIs has reached the Caribbean along with the likes of Suryakumar Yadav, Kuldeep Yadav, and Umran Malik.
As there are five matches in the series, Tilak Varma can possibly get his opportunity to make the much-awaited debut for Team India.
