Born on October 14, 1976 (age 37), Tillakaratne Mudiyanselage Dilshan is a Sri Lankan cricketer. He is currently one of the most natural all-rounder for Sri Lanka with an exquisite action and aggressive approach. He is also famous for his ‘Dil scoop’ shot over the keepers head.

Dilshan made his debut for Sri Lanka in Tests against Zimbabwe in 1999 at Bulawayo scoring just nine. However, he had an impressive year in 2009 when he got over 1000 runs in 11 matches with an average of 64.52 and the highest score being 193 against England at Lords in 2011.

His ODI debut followed the same year in 1999 a month later Zimbabwe at Bulawayo again scoring 35. His breakthrough year in the format was in 2012 when he scored about 1160 runs in just 31 matches with an average of 41.44 and the highest score being 160 not out against India at Hobart. he also has 80 wickets from 288 matches.

He made his T20 debut in 2006 against England in 2006 at Southampton. However, it was in 2009, when he scored 471 runs from 12 matches with an average of 42.81.
