New Zealand pace spearhead Tim Southee on Wednesday completed 100 wickets in One-Day Internationals (ODIs), during the second ODI against India at Hamilton.

Southee achieved the feat in his 76th ODI match. He claimed the key wickets of Indian openers Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma to reach the milestone.

His best bowling performance of five for 33 came against Pakistan in Wellington in 2011.

The 25-year-old cricketer made his ODI debut in June 2008 against England at Chester-le-Street.

Shane Bond was the fastest New Zealand bowler to pick up 100 ODI wickets.

It took him 54 matches. Saqlain Mushtaq leads the records’ chart from 53 matches.
