The opening pair of Sunrisers Hyderabad, Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma delivered in the crucial IPL 2025 match against Punjab Kings (PBKS). Abhishek and Travis known for their explosive performance last season, had struggle to find form this year until Sunday, as they chased down a massive total of 246 which included a 171 run-partnership between them in just 12.2 overs.

Abhbishek Sharma scored an impressive 141 off 55 deliveries, which included 14 fours and 10 sixes whereas Travis Head smashed 60 off 37 balls with nine fours and three sixes. Despite setting a huge total, Punjab looked helpless. Heinrich Klaasen (21) and Ishan Kishan (9) finished the job, sealing the win for SRH with nine balls to spare.

“This one is for Orange Army,” read Abhishek’s note. Speaking to the broadcasters after the match, Travis Head shared that Abhishek had been carrying the note in his pocket since the beginning of the season, but it wasn’t until the sixth game that he finally got the chance to bring it out.

“The note has been in the pocket of Abhishek Sharma for 6 games, glad it came out tonight,” Travis Head said

Abhishek, who had been struggling with form, roared back with a sensational 141 off 55 balls, helping SRH to the second-highest run chase in IPL history. The dominant eight-wicket win over Punjab Kings on Saturday marked a strong return to form for both the batter and his team in a high-scoring thriller.

“This one is very special, because I wanted to break that losing streak. Losing four back-to-back matches was very tough. But we never talked about it in the team. Special mention to Yuvi paji (Yuvraj Singh) and Suryakumar (Yadav) as well. They have been in touch with me,” said Abhishek
