Twitterati lash out at Shahid Afridi over his ‘peace’ tweet

It was a good call by Afridi by it backfired for him as Twitterati started trolling him with their different reasons.

There is as huge amount of tension between India and Pakistan currently, especially after the attack on Indian Army Headquarter in Uri District of Jammu and Kashmir. The Indian government has always tried to put pressure on the Pakistan government over the issue of terrorism but the response from the other end has been quite poor. As there was no positive response, Indian Army reacted in their own way by conducting a surgical strike across the Line of Control and neutralized few terrorists camps in the Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK). This act was applauded by politicians cutting the party lines as well as Indian citizens.

After the surgical strike, Pakistan immediately denied of any such activity by Indian Army. With such intense and huge tension currently going between both the nations, Pakistani cricketer Shahid Afridi shared his thought for peace instead of war through couple of tweets from his official Twitter account.

The current situation between both the nations is very tense and there is an environment of war. Afridi, who is currently not the part of any Pakistan side across the formats, remains one of the most followed and loved cricketers in India.
