Amidst a busy schedule, cricketers find some time to celebrate festivals with their near and dear ones. Today being Eid Al Adha, cricketers across the globe wished their fans through social media. On the second most celebrated festival in the Muslim community, Pakistan batsman Umar Akmal was the first to post a picture with his family and friends. Shahid Afridi, Waqar Younis, Shoaib Malik, Umar Gul and others followed suit. From India, the Pathan brothers, Mohammed Shami and Mohammad Kaif were seen enjoying with their families.
Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan, Mohammad Nabi and South Africa’s Wayne Parnell, who are currently playing in CPL, were seen celebrating with their teammates. Meanwhile, Moeen Ali also sent across his wishes from England.
Gautam Gambhir, Virender Sehwag, VVS Laxman, Dean Jones were amongst the others who wished on this special day. Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan, Mustafizur Rahman and Mushfiqur Rahim, who have been busy preparing for the final clash against Australia, found some time to celebrate this occasion.

Eid Al Adha (Bakrid) is also known as the sacrifice feast. It is celebrated to honour the dedication and willingness of Ibrahim (Abrahim) to sacrifice his son as an act of submission on God’s command.
