India fast bowler and Vidarbha fast bowler Umesh Yadav stunned one and all with his breath taking batting on Day Two of the Ranji Trophy 2015-16 season against Odisha. Vidarbha batting first put up a total of 467 before being bowled out. Vidarbha, the hosts were a spot of bother when they were reduced to 293 for eight at a stage but then Umesh Yadav took up the battle and hit seven fours and seven sixes as he notched up his maiden First-Class century scoring an unbeaten 128 in 119 balls. This though is not the first time, Umesh has shined with the bat before for India as well, he is known as a good hitter of the ball and the Odisha bowlers faced the brunt of it today. Odisha at this moment in time, in the third session are 49 for 2 with both the openers back in the hut. Girija Rout was out leg before to A Wakhare while the other opener, Natraj Behera was caught by M Sharma off the bowling of R D Thakur. Vidarbha will hope their strike bowler in Umesh Yadav strikes for them. Umesh is not a part of the Twenty20 International (T20I) squad for India that will face South Africa. India will be playing three T20Is but Umesh will be with the squad for the One-Day Internationals (ODIs). India will play five one-dayers against South Africa and then play four Test matches. It will be a marathon 72-day tour for South Africa and like India, South Africa too have rested Dale Steyn and Morne Morkel from the shortest format of the game.
