Umpire Anil Chaudhary has stated that one could possibly think the Indian skipper Rohit Sharma is a casual and chill person, his cricketing IQ is very sharp and can mess with any opponent if he uses them correctly. On a YouTube podcast ‘Unplugged’, Chaudhary gave a warning to Shubhankar Mishra against forming a wrong image of Rohit Sharma.

Chaudhary stated that Rohit might appear to be a ‘casual’ person, but he is a ‘smart cricketer’ with high ‘cricketing IQ’ who makes bating look easy.

Rohit has often been called casual, especially because of his attitude and behaviour on the field. His antics and words that are recorded on the stump mic justify his behaviour even more.

“Rohit looks casual to you, but he’s a very smart player. Don’t get fooled in this. He is very smart. His cricketing IQ is very good, means his game sense,” Chaudhary said.

“You do not get the idea by his batting. When he comes to bat it looks like it’s bowling at 120kmph. When some other does batting it looks like it’s bowling at 160kmph…He comes in a lot of appeals and says ‘hey leave it’,” Chaudhary added.
