India‘s Under-19 World Cup winning captain Unmukt Chand has donated Rs 1 Lakh for the flood victims of his home state of Uttarakhand.

The contribution was made into Mukhya Mantri Rahat Kosh (CM Relief Funds) to provide relief for the victims of the natural tragedy.

India cricketers Harbhajan Singh and Bhuvneshwar Kumar had also come out to help the affected people.

Heavy rains and subsequent flash floods have killed hundreds and left several thousand missing in the hill state. India’s rising star Shikhar Dhawan had dedicated his Man-of-the-Series performance from the ICC Champions Trophy 2013 to the victims of Uttarakhand tragedy.
