India A chasing a score of 245 against South Africa A in the triangular match in Chennai were tested early on and both the openers were given chances early on. Unmukt Chand was dropped by Dane Vials before even getting off the mark. Mayank Agarwal too survived a scare when he edged one to second slip but was saved when the replays were not conclusive enough. Chand go another life when Quinton de Kock dropped a sitter at point. Runs though started to flow as both the openers started to open up and quickly got back in the game with a good stand. They are currently steady with a score of 69 for no loss at the end of 15 overs. Earlier in the day, South Africa A won the toss and elected to bat first, they though were soon reduced to 92 for four as the India A bowler bowled tight lines and lengths to keep the scoring down. The pair of Omphile Rameela and the opener Quinton de Kock, steadied the ship for South Africa A before Ramela was dismissed for a score of 26. South Africa were four down for 92. It was Dane Vilas and de Kock who shared a 100-run stand to give them some stability. de Kock scored his ton, his eight List A ton but could not get his team past 250 on a slower deck.
