Vaibhav Suryavanshi- Youngest player in history to score IPL century, Fastest Indian to reach century in T20 cricket

Rajasthan Royals’ 14-year-old emerging star Vaibhav Suryavanshi secured his name in books of history on Monday (April 28), as he became the fastest Indian player to score a century in Indian Premier League (IPL), and also became youngest player in history of cricket to score a century in T20 cricket.
As he came with Yashasvi Jaiswal to open against Gujarat Titans, Vaibhav quickly reached his maiden IPL century in 35 balls- which is overall the second fastest in the tournament.
At the young age of 14 years and 32 days, Suryavanshi broke record for youngest player to score a T20 century, which was held by Vijay Zol till now- who had scored a century at age of 18 years and 118 days.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi- 14 years 322 days in 2025
Vijay Zol- 18 years 118 days in 2013
Pervez Hossain- 18 years 179 days in 2020
GustavMcKeon- 18 years 280 days in 2022
Vaibhav Suryavanshi completed his century in 35 deliveries, and did it with style, as he hit a six off Rashid Khan. The spectacular knock by Suryavanshi was mostly by boundaries as he had collected 94 runs by hitting 11 sixes and 7 fours. He eventually got dismissed by Prasidh Krishna for 101 off 38.

A highlight of Vaibhav’s outing was when he faced Karim Janat and Ishant Sharma, where he scored 30 runs against Karim and 28 against Ishant.
