Victorious Team India returns home with ICC Under-19 World Cup trophy

The victorious India Under-19 team returned back to India on Tuesday after defeating Australia in the ICC World Championship on Sunday.

 

Led by Unmukt Chand’s memorable century, India won the final by six wickets to lift the Under-19 cup for the third time.

 

Nasik Dhol and bhangra music welcomed the team at the airport, reported NDTV.

 

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is supposed to felicitate the team.

 

Chand scored an unbeaten 111 and was equally accompanied by Smit Patel in the final. Patel remained unbeaten on 62.

Coach Bharathi Arun and Unmukt Chand is scheduled to address the press on Tuesday.
