Indian sports broadcaster Star Sports officially launched a promo video for the upcoming India vs South Africa series, due to get underway from October 2. The series has officially been named the ‘Mahatma GandhiNelson Mandela‘ series, in memory two f the most beloved political leaders of the two nations. The video depicts that if the series is a tough one, it will surely produce more thrill. Will India make home advantage count when beating one of the best sides in cricket? Starting October 2, India host South Africa in the Mahatma Gandhi – Nelson Mandela Series.

India will host South Africa for four Tests, five One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and three Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) in South Africa’s one of the longest Indian tour, of 72 days. The tour will begin with a T20 practice match in Delhi, followed by the first T20I in Dharamsala. It will end with the fourth Test in Delhi, starting (or ending) December 7. The two countries have been engaged in only one four-Test series before, in South Africa in 1992-93. India had lost that Test series 1-0, with three drawn games. That was the first Test series the two had been playing against each other.
