Chasing 182, Kolkata won with three balls to spare after Russell smacked 49 off 19 balls.

The big-hitting West Indies allrounder Andre Russell produced a stunning assault in the late overs of Sunday’s Indian T20 League match to power Kolkata to a six-wicket victory over Hyderabad at Eden Gardens.

Russell clubbed four fours and four sixes in his 19-ball 49* to clinch victory, while Nitish Rana made 68 off 47 balls. Kolkata needed 53 runs from the last three overs and Russel blew away Hyderabad with his power hitting.

Earlier, in his IPL comeback, David Warner scored 85 off 53 balls to get Hyderabad to 181/3.
