The ninth edition of the Indian Premier League has witnessed some breathtaking catches in the tournament so far. One such stunner was also spotted in the 33rd game between Delhi Daredevils and Rising Pune Supergiants at Delhi when Sam Billings pulled off a fabulous catch at deep mid-wicket to set MS Dhoni walking. RPS were chasing a modest target of 163 when they needed 17 runs from the final two overs with well set Ajinkya Rahane and Dhoni at the crease. Dhoni backed his abilities and in an attempt to finish the game in the penultimate over he went for a big hit on the very first ball from Imran Tahir. The ball was travelling at a great speed and Billings had some ground to cover. He did it with perfection as he took a clean catch and didn’t let the momentum drag his body inside the boundary. Eventually, DD lost the game but this moment was certainly the best moment of the game. Billings is leaving a mark in the tournament with his overall contribution and this was undoubtedly one of the best catches in the tournament so far. The video was uploaded on the official Twitter account of Indian Premier League and wrote, “Watch @sambillings’s stunner to dismiss MS Dhoni #DDvRPS #VIVOIPL.” Watch the breathtaking effort here:
