Indian cricketing sensation and Royal Bangalore Challengers skipper Virat Kohli is all set to leave cricket aside for a while, and feature in football. In a recent advertisement with Star Sports, Kohli can be seen preparing for the Celebrity Clasico football match. Kohli alongside MS Dhoni are a part of All Hearts Football Club, and will take on All Stars Football Club, which feature the likes Ranbir Kapoor, Siddharth Malhotra, Arjun Kapoor. The team is led by Abhishek Bachchan. The last time these two teams met, All Hearts won the match by 4-3. The game will be telecasted on 4th June at 9 PM on Star Sports 1 and HD1. The football match between both the teams will be for charity. Kohli is known around the footballing world as well. Earlier, Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane praised Kohli for his outstanding performance against Australia in the T20 World Cup 2016.

Kohli has been in outstanding form in recent times. In the recently concluded IPL 2016, he scored an astonishing 973 runs from 16 games. It also included four centuries and seven half-centuries. He became the highest run-scorer in an single IPL campaign. His display thought couldn’t guide RCB to their maiden IPL title, as Sunrisers Hyderabad beat them by 8 runs in the final.
The Indian stalwart was given a break from cricket for the tour against Zimbabwe. Having played each and every match since the Asia Cup 2016, he was given a deserved break. He will next be seen in India’s tour to West Indies where he will be leading the team.
