Virat Kohli wished fans on the auspicious occasion of the Indian festival of Diwali. “Hello everyone. Just want to wish all of you a very very happy Diwali. May this festival and the coming year bring a lot of prosperity, happiness and calmness into everyone’s house,” Virat said in a video shared by Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Twitter. The Indian team is in Bengaluru ahead of their second Test against South Africa in the ongoing Mahtma Gandhi-Nelson Mandela Test series. The spin-duo Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja gave India a superb 108-run victory in the opening Test of the four-match series. SCORECARD: India vs South Africa 2015 1st Test at Mohali
Jadeja was drafted into the Indian team after taking 38 wickets for Saurashtra with his spin bowling in four Ranji Trophy matches this season. “I thought I have to do well for India too. I can’t relax, otherwise you get an image that you do well only in domestic cricket. That you don’t do well in international cricket. Personally I was worried about that more than anything that you don’t want that label that you do well only in Ranji Trophy or domestic cricket. I wanted to do well in international cricket too, “he said.

Meanwhile, the Proteas skipper admitted that the there were more dismissals in the match due to lack of spin than excess of it and his batsmen could have applied themselves better. “The chat that we had in our meetings was that the ball wasn’t turning that much, actually. And I think a lot of dismissals actually in both teams, there were quite a few dismissals due to lack of turn more than due to excess of turn,” Amla said.
