Whenever there is a match involving the South African team, one can expect some excellent fielding efforts from their side. But in the ongoing fourth Test between South Africa and England, the visitors showed that they are not far behind in terms of fielding as James Taylor took an unusual catch at short leg.

On the fourth delivery of Moeen Ali’s over, 10th overall of the innings, Dean Elgar came down the track and got an inside edge while slogging down the ground. It flied straight to Taylor, who somehow held on to it and started running around to celebrate. The umpires were not sure whether the catch was clean or not and hence decided to refer it to the third umpire.

There were a few replays with certain close angles, which showed Taylor had somehow managed to grab the ball between his legs. The ball landed on his right leg and folded under his body, only to get trapped. Taylor claimed the catch, which though wasn’t evident from the naked eyes. Eventually, the third umpire ruled Elgar out and Rod Tucker made the decision.
