Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag, who recently retired from international cricket, has opened up about the 2002 Natwest Trophy final at Lord’s. In a short video released by the official Youtube channel of Lord’s Cricket Ground, the swashbuckling opener also reveals his experience of playing at the home of cricket.

In the video, Sehwag talks about how the famous win in the final against England at Lord’s in 2002 pumped-up the then captain Sourav Ganguly and made him do the famous shirt-waving celebration. He also shares that it was the first time he had witnessed Ganguly’s six-pack abs.

Sehwag also shares that the win over England, where India successfully chased-down the target of 326, is the most special moment he had seen at Lord’s; a moment he would remember throughout his life. The 37-year old former opener also regrets about his name not being on the Lords’ honour board, as he never got a century there. Check the video here:
