Virat Kohli: Adelaide a wonderful stadium to play cricket

Virat Kohli scored his first Test ton at Adelaide and has gone on to have further success at the ground. He scored twin centuries against Australia at the end of December 2014 and followed it up with a century against arch-rivals Pakistan in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015. On asked about his love affair with the Adelaide Oval, Kohli said, “There is something about this ground you know. Whenever I step into this stadium, there is something that really sinks with me,” Kohli told BCCI.TV. “Naturally, I feel wonderful coming here. All my nerves calm down pretty nicely. It is just about the whole atmosphere of the new stands and the crowd in your ears. India beat Australia by 37 runs in the first T20I, courtesy of an unbeaten 90 from Kohli. Suresh Raina made a 34-ball 41 and together with Kohli stitched a 134-run stand for the third wicket, which helped India set up a huge target. India go into the second T20I at Melbourne with a 1-0 lead.
