Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) is all set to face Delhi Capitals (DC) in the 24th clash of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 on April 10. RCB will be aiming to get their first victory at home ground, as the match will be held at the M Chinnaswamy stadium.
Star batter Virat Kohli is on the verge of creating another record. If he manages to score 50 runs in the match against DC, he will have 100 half-centuries in T20 cricket. Hence, Kohli will become the first Indian player to reach the triple-digit figure for scoring fifties in the shortest format of the game.
As of now, David Warner is the only player to have scored 100 or more half-centuries. Warner has scored 108 fifties in his T20 career. If Kohli manages to score a fifty in the upcoming clash, he will also become the second-ever player to achieve this feat.
Player with most fifties in T20 cricket:
David Warner- 108
Virat Kohli- 99
Babar Azam- 90
Chris Gayle- 88
Jos Butler- 86
Coming to RCB’s campaign as of now, they began with a victory over Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK). On top of that, this victory was the first time that the Bengaluru-based franchise beat CSK in 18 years on their own home ground. The team’s only loss has been on the hands of Gujarat Titans (GT), but it was followed by a win against Mumbai Indians (MI).
