Virat Kohli has become the second Indian after Sunil Gavaskar to score four centuries in a Test series. Kohli scored his fourth ton in the series during the fourth Test against Australia in Sydney. He has been in magnificent touch in this series and has been dominant right since the first Test in Adelaide.
Interestingly, Gavaskar scored four tons in a series on two separate occasions. The first time he managed it was during his debut Test series in the West Indies in 1971. Then in 1978-79, he scored four tons against the West Indies at home. Kohli has become the first man since Gavaskar to do it for India.
Kohli has been in record breaking form. He has already become the second man after Rahul Dravid to score 500 runs in a Test series Down Under. Kohli has also scored the most runs for a visiting No. 4 batsman on tour to Australia, going past Sachin Tendulkar.
