Rabada will be part of a weakened South Africa squad that will face India in three T20Is followed by as many Tests during a tour which starts next week. This will be South African cricket team’s first assignment post the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 in which they failed to make the semi-finals after finishing seventh among the 10 teams in the round-robin stage.

“Virat Kohli has proven that he is the best batsman in white-ball format,” Rabada told news agency PTI. “He is already regarded as a great of the game with some pedigree. Playing him is an opportunity to test yourself as a player.”

Several members in South Africa squad are on their maiden tour of India and Rabada’s advice for them is to play without any fear against world’s best batsman Kohli. He added, “I think he (Kohli) is a fighter and at the end of the day, we would like to go and express ourselves and not have any fear. Have fun, play hard and just enjoy the battle with the world’s best batter,” he said.

Rabada also spoke about fellow international speedster Jasprit Bumrah and Jofra Archer who has recently grabbed the headlines with their stunning performances.

Welcoming the rise of fresh fast bowling talents Rabada said, “I mean it’s good. I have always admired watching other fast bowlers and it’s healthy competition, it’s good that they (Bumrah and Archer) are around. Like I said, the natural competition is healthy. It’s a spectacle to see someone running in and bowling rockets. A great spell with skill and execution is all you want to see.”
