Another day and another bucketful of praises for the Indian skipper Virat Kohli. He has won fans all over the globe and even the greats of game continue to shower praises. Kapil Dev recently made an interesting statement at an event. As per Kapil, Kohli is the best batsman he has ever seen. Kapil spoke during the launch of book Numbers do lie along with Aakash Chopra. Kohli, who won another Test against Bangladesh for India under his tenure as captain has been breaking records in every next game, irrespective of the format. So far, the Delhi batsman has led India to 15 Test wins in 23 games as skipper. India beat Bangladesh by 208 runs at Hyderabad to stretch the streak of most consecutive matches without defeat to 19.

Not only in terms of scoring heaps amount of runs but Kohli has also set examples with his clever captaincy. The legendary all rounder Kapil described him by saying that his batting style is the combination of Sachin Tendulkar and Viv Richards. While Tendulkar’s batting was all about grace, poise, sound technique and dominance, Richards was all about style and brute.

Kohli will be once again seen leading the Indian Test side against Australia in the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2016-17. So far, there have been 12 Border-Gavaskar Trophy played between both the sides. India have won 6, while Australia have 5 and the series of 2003-04 ended in draw. Kohli and his men will look stretch the number of series wins by defeating Australia in his next assignment.
