Despite the rivalry on field, the Indian team members do share a very good relationship with the West Indies players. Moreover, the IPL has also played a big part in the players from both countries sharing a brotherly bond with each other. One such player, who has been a constant feature in all the IPL editions, is Dwayne Bravo. The ‘Champion’ player, who is out of the cricketing action due to a severe hamstring injury he suffered during BBL 2016-17, played host to the members of the Indian cricket team. Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane, Shikhar Dhawan and MS Dhoni, all were a part of the dinner organised by the West Indian all-rounder. The Indian players looked relaxed after their comfortable 105-run win over the hosts in the second ODI and spend quality time with Bravo and his mother. Bravo was also very happy on meeting his former IPL teammate Dhoni, under whose captaincy he played for 5 years. He also posted a picture of him, his mom along with Dhoni and his daughter Ziva on Instagram and added a nice caption to it: “It was great to have my brother from another Mother at my house last night along with his beautiful daughter and my mom #champion #djbravo #Family @mahi7781”.

Last year, Kohli and Co. had even danced to the tunes of the ‘Champion’ song, which was sung and composed by Bravo. Even the Indian opener, Shikhar Dhawan, who has been in scintillating form, posted a photo of him, his teammates – Kohli and Rahane – along with Bravo. This is what he posted on his twitter account: “Had a great time at @DJBravo47 house. @ajinkyarahane88 @imVkohli”

These pictures show the healthy relationship that the Indian players share with their West Indian counterparts. Not only Bravo, but players like Chris Gayle, Sunil Narine, and many others also share a good relationship with the Indian team members.
Leading the series 1-0, India play West Indies in the third ODI at North Sound, Antigua on Friday.
