Bangladesh did us no favours in the game against India, and then (Australia s) game against India I thought Virat Kohli was incredible. To bat the way he did and get his team over the line in a pressure game in India, he played beautifully, Smith told Fox Sports News in an interview. Smith said it was disappointing to see the way Australia played in the T20 World Cup 2015. He said, It was disappointing. I thought we had the team to give that tournament a real shake. Our first game against New Zealand, we let ourselves down there we should have chased down 140 in that game. From there I guess you were sort of chasing your tail and had to win every other game.

It didn t work out the way we would have liked but I think we can still learn a lot from the way we played over there, the Australian captain added.

Smith, who is currently enjoying a rest period ahead of a busy season which has the tour of Sri Lanka as well as a triangular series in West Indies with South Africa being the third team, welcomes the rest period.

I ve always said that I want to be 100 per cent right as much as I can to play for Australia and it (the wrist soreness) was an opportunity to give it a rest and it s feeling really good, Smith said.
